Jakarta – Hutama Karya Infrastruktur successfully implemented a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program worth IDR 2.4 billion in 2023 to support the community and promote sustainable development. The implementation of HKI’s CSR program is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), covering the social, environmental, and economic pillars.
President Director of HKI, Aji Prasetyanti, stated that throughout 2023, HKI carried out various programs with realization based on each SDG pillar: 48% in the social pillar, 29% in the environmental pillar, and 23% in the economic pillar.
“Throughout 2023, HKI made efforts to be present in the communities of Java and Sumatra through various CSR programs and the empowerment of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs), particularly in areas directly adjacent to our company’s activities,” said Aji Prasetyanti.
Under the social pillar, HKI successfully distributed medical equipment and operational support to the Pembinaan Anak Cacat Foundation (YPAC) Jakarta and the UPTD Puskesmas Tambang in Kampar, Riau. In the environmental pillar, HKI also contributed to the community by providing clean water wells and repairing drainage systems around the Binjai-Pangkalan Brandan project area.
HKI also implemented programs to support small businesses by providing operational equipment and sustainable skillset training for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs), such as Nauli Ecoprint in North Sumatra and Vanilla Leather in Yogyakarta. These activities serve as pilot projects for MSEs development, offering training in content creation, social media marketing, and product photography. In addition to skillset training, HKI provided crafting production equipment and other operational tools to support the growth of MSEs, aligned with SDG 8 on decent work and economic growth.
In line with the company’s tagline, #BreakTheImpossible, HKI aims to make a greater contribution by breaking barriers of impossibility, including reducing social disparities in society. This was realized by providing operational assistance in the form of batik-making tools, painting tools, and other crafting production supports for Serodja Widji Batik, a Disability MSEs in Karangrejek Village, Gunung Kidul, DI Yogyakarta.
Wiji Astuti, the owner of the Disability MSEs in Karangrejek, Serodja Widji Batik, expressed that the support provided by HKI has been very beneficial for their continued growth.

“The attention given by HKI to the disabled community in Karangrejek motivates us to continue growing, despite the limitations we face,” said Wiji.
As a construction service company, HKI is also committed to facilitating access for the community by building an 80-meter suspension bridge in Lampung Province, connecting Terbanggi Besar and Gunung Sugih sub-districts. The construction of this bridge provides access for nearby residents who previously had to take a longer route across the river to reach the opposite village.
In 2024, HKI remains committed to continuing CSR programs focusing on the social, economic, and environmental pillars for communities around business activities or other groups in need.
For information, HKI is still working on several other Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) projects, such as the Padang-Sicincin Toll Road, Binjai-Pangkalan Brandan Zona IV (Tanjung Pura-Pangkalan Brandan) Toll Road, Bangkinang-Pangkalan Toll Road, and the Pekanbaru Ring Road Toll Road. For non-JTTS projects, HKI is currently working on the SMO Construction Services project in PHR Riau and the Probolinggo-Banyuwangi Toll Road Package II project.
