During its development, the Medan–Binjai Toll Road was divided into three sections. Sections 2 and 3 have been in operation since 2017, while Section 1 and the Tanjung Mulia Interchange began operating in 2021.
- The Tanjung Mulia Interchange features 10 ramps constructed in a densely populated area and above an already operating toll road.
- The use of modular walls to minimize the use of residential land and reduce environmental impact.
- The Tanjung Mulia Interchange has become one of the key landmarks along the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS).
Specifically, the Tanjung Mulia Interchange, with a total of 10 ramps, was constructed above an already operating toll road. At this location, HKI also implemented a modular wall construction system to minimize the use of residential land and reduce environmental impact. The Tanjung Mulia Interchange has become one of the notable landmarks along the Trans Sumatra Toll Road.
