The Pekanbaru-Bangkinang Toll Road is a segment of the Pekanbaru–Padang Toll Road and one of HKI’s first design and build projects.
- The project utilizes pile slab construction in areas with soft soil and peatlands within the Peatland Restoration Agency’s jurisdiction to protect the surrounding ecosystem.
- In 2022, 31 km of the Pekanbaru-Bangkinang Toll Road (STA 9+000 – STA 40+000) was completed and put into operation.
Construction of this toll road began in March 2019. The remaining 9 km of the Pekanbaru-Bangkinang Toll Road passes through soft soil and peatland areas under the Peatland Restoration Agency. Therefore, HKI employed pile slab construction to preserve the environmental ecosystem. This reflects HKI’s commitment to sustainable principles in every construction project undertaken.
