Palembang – The Palembang Ramp Junction constructed by PT Hutama Karya Infrastruktur (HKI) has now been fully completed and seamlessly connected. HKI built a total of ten ramps spanning 12.86 kilometers, linking the Kayu Agung–Palembang, Palembang–Indralaya, and Indralaya–Prabumulih toll roads, as well as the planned Palembang–Betung access.

“With all ramps at the Palembang Junction now fully connected, road users no longer need to exit and re-enter toll gates when switching between toll roads. This improvement will certainly provide greater ease and comfort for toll users,” said HKI Director of Operations III, Aditya Novendra Jaya.

The junction’s completion is expected to reduce travel times by up to 20 minutes when moving between connected routes such as Indralaya, Betung, Kayu Agung, and Palembang. Beyond enhancing mobility, the project is also anticipated to smooth logistics flow, shorten travel duration, and stimulate economic growth across the surrounding region.

The Ramp Junction Palembang was built in two phases. In the first phase, HKI constructed six ramps — Ramp 1 (Betung–Kayu Agung), Ramp 2 (Kayu Agung–Indralaya), Ramp 3 (Indralaya–Kayu Agung), Ramp 5 (Betung–Indralaya), Ramp 7A (Betung–Kramasan), and Ramp 7B (Kramasan–Kayu Agung) — all of which were completed in February 2025.

The second phase comprised four additional ramps — Ramp 4A (Indralaya–Betung), Ramp 4B (Kayu Agung–Kramasan), Ramp 6 (Betung–Palembang), and Ramp 8 (Palembang–Kayu Agung).

The development of this junction not only enhances regional connectivity but also delivers direct benefits to local communities. Approximately 40% of the project’s workforce consisted of local residents, underscoring HKI’s commitment to economic empowerment and sustainable community development.

“The five-star ULFO rating demonstrates HKI’s commitment to ensuring that every infrastructure project is not only physically completed but also meets the highest standards of safety and operational feasibility,” Aditya concluded.

Currently, HKI continues to work on several Trans-Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) projects, including the Pekanbaru Ring Road, Palembang–Betung Section III, Betung–Jambi Sections 1A, 1B, 2A, and 2B. In addition to JTTS, HKI is also progressing on the Cikampek Selatan Toll Road Package 2A, further strengthening its role in advancing Indonesia’s national connectivity.
