Padang – The Deputy for Basic Infrastructure Coordination of the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development (Kemenko Infrawil) conducted a working visit to two strategic projects in West Sumatra — the Public–Private Partnership (PPP) Flyover Sitinjau Lauik Project and the Padang–Sicincin Toll Road Project — on Monday (October 27).
The visit was attended by Governor of West Sumatra Mahyeldi Ansharullah, along with the Kemenko Infrawil delegation led by Deputy for Basic Infrastructure Coordination Muhammad Rachmat Kaimuddin, Deputy Secretary Romi Firman, as well as several Assistant Deputies and representatives from the West Sumatra National Road Implementation Agency (BPJN).
From PT Hutama Karya Infrastruktur (HKI) as the project executor, the visit was accompanied by HKI Director of Operations III Aditya Novendra Jaya, Head of Central Sumatra Region PT Hutama Karya Bromo Waluko Utomo, Flyover Sitinjau Lauik Project Leader Danang Pasc Karyono Dwi Raharjo, and Padang–Sicincin Toll Road Project Director Sri Hastuti Hardiningsih.
Both projects play a crucial role in strengthening connectivity and transportation safety along the Padang–Solok corridor. The Sitinjau Lauik Flyover is designed to overcome the steep terrain that has long posed challenges for logistics vehicles, while the Padang–Sicincin Toll Road serves as a major economic link between regions and an integral part of the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) network.
The presence of central government representatives in this visit signifies strong support for the acceleration of strategic infrastructure development in West Sumatra. These projects align with the Asta Cita vision of President Prabowo Subianto, which emphasizes equitable infrastructure development across regions to drive inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
