South Sumatra – HKI received an award from the Provincial Government of South Sumatra for its contribution to the restoration of 3,500 mangrove seedlings in Sungsang IV Village. The program was carried out through the 2024 TJSL initiative in collaboration with the Village Forest Management Institution (LDPHD) Sungsang IV, reflecting HKI’s commitment to environmental sustainability and community empowerment.

This mangrove restoration effort is a concrete step by HKI to protect coastal areas from abrasion, preserve ecosystem continuity, and support climate change mitigation. Through collaboration with local communities, the program is expected to deliver long-term benefits for environmental balance and the resilience of coastal settlements.

This recognition motivates HKI to continue strengthening the implementation of ESG principles and to take an active role in delivering sustainable value for communities, the environment, and national infrastructure development.
