West Sumatra – On Monday (January 19), Andre Rosiade, the Vice Chairman of Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), visited the disaster response site in Lembah Anai, which is currently being managed by HKI. The visit aimed to directly monitor the progress of infrastructure recovery following the disaster and provide strategic guidance for smooth traffic flow.
During the visit, Andre Rosiade gave several technical directions regarding the planned open traffic for the upcoming Eid holidays. He emphasized the importance of coordination between various stakeholders to ensure that the repaired roads can be used safely by the public and to prevent potential traffic jams that could disrupt road users' mobility.
This visit also serves as a form of government support for the disaster mitigation efforts carried out by HKI, as well as demonstrating a shared commitment between the central and local governments to accelerate the post-disaster recovery process. Additionally, the visit highlighted the strong synergy between the government and HKI in ensuring a quick and safe recovery of infrastructure for the communities in the Lembah Anai area.
