Jakarta – In celebration of the 77th Indonesian Independence Day, PT Hutama Karya Infrastruktur (HKI) and its subsidiaries brought goodwill to the surrounding communities through various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs across several locations in Java.
HKI's subsidiary, PT Bhirawa Steel, supported by several partners, distributed 3,000 packages of staple goods in regions such as Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, and East Java. The distribution of these packages took place simultaneously on 16 August 2022 and was symbolically handed over to community representatives during a ceremony in Surabaya by Managing Director of PT Bhirawa Steel, Harry Budi Prasetya.
“The provision of these staple goods packages involved several micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME). We hope that these packages can be beneficial to the recipients,” said Arry Aryadi, the President Director of PT Bhirawa Steel.
On 18-19 August 2022, HKI also distributed donations to several foundations, including At-Taqwa Social Foundation and Orphanage, Semarang; Baitul Qur’an Yatim Al-Ikhlas, Cijantung; and donations for the Yassin & Tahlil Recitation event at Miftahul Hidayah, Semarang. The donation to Baitul Qur’an Yatim Al-Ikhlas Cijantung was handed over directly by representatives from HKI and received by the foundation’s management.
“We hope that all of the CSR programs conducted by HKI and its subsidiaries can help communities across Indonesia. We also wish that amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, we can recover quickly and emerge stronger,” said the President Director of HKI, Aji Prasetyanti.
As a note, PT Bhirawa Steel officially became a subsidiary of HKI in July 2022, specializing in the production of reinforced concrete steel and its derivative products. PT Bhirawa Steel's products have been distributed to various national projects across Indonesia. HKI and its subsidiaries are committed to continually bringing added value to local communities through CSR programs.
