Jakarta – PT Hutama Karya Infrastruktur (HKI) kicked off 2023 with a new contract in the non-Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) sector. In a joint operation (KSO) with PT Acset Indonusa Tbk (Acset) and PT Nindya Karya (NK), HKI will lead the construction of the Probolinggo-Banyuwangi Toll Road, specifically the Probolinggo-Besuki section, Package II STA 09+000 – STA 20+200.
On Monday, February 6, the groundbreaking ceremony for this project took place in Pendil Village, Banyuanyar District, Probolinggo Regency. The ceremony was attended by Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono, Director General of Highways Hedy Rahadian, BPJT Head Danang Parikesit, Probolinggo Regent Timbul Prihanjoko, and Situbondo Regent Karna Suwandi. HKI was represented by Vice President Director and President Commissioner Aloysius Kiik Ro, President Director Aji Prasetyanti, and Director of Operations III Selo Tjahjono.

The value of the Probolinggo-Banyuwangi Toll Road Probolinggo-Besuki Package II project is IDR 1.6 trillion, with a construction duration of 547 days. The main road section, which will be constructed, spans 11.2 km from Kraksaan to Paiton.
This project marks HKI's first new contract acquisition in 2023. Aji Prasetyanti, President Director of HKI, expressed that the new contract aligns with the company's mission of market expansion for sustainable business growth. "We are grateful for the trust given to the KSO HKI – Acset – NK to undertake this project. It is an opportunity for us, especially for HKI, to contribute to toll road construction not only in Sumatra but also across Indonesia," Aji said.

Aji also noted that acquiring new non-JTTS contracts would drive HKI's market expansion. "We seek support and prayers so that HKI can contribute to the development of toll roads and bridges across Indonesia," Aji concluded.
Currently, HKI is still working on several JTTS sections, such as the Indralaya-Prabumulih Toll Road, which is expected to be functional during the upcoming Eid season, and accelerating work on the Padang-Sicincin Toll Road. Additionally, HKI is focused on completing the Binjai-Pangkalan Brandan and Pekanbaru-Bangkinang Toll Roads. For non-JTTS projects, HKI is involved in the SMO Construction Services project in PHR, Riau, and the replacement of the Callender Hamilton (CH) Bridge in Java.
