This toll road is the first toll road constructed in Bengkulu Province.
- The alignment crosses mountainous and hilly terrains, presenting complex construction challenges.
- Located in a high seismic risk zone.
- Passes through geological formations such as marl and young coal, which required specific handling.
- Crosses winding rivers, requiring modifications to several pier locations and the construction of pile slab bridges.
The construction of the Taba Penanjung–Bengkulu Toll Road posed significant challenges due to its route through mountainous and hilly areas with deep valleys and ravines, in addition to being situated in a high seismic zone. The project also required adjustments in pier placement due to the winding river paths. From a geological perspective, the toll road traversed formations containing marl, young coal, and other rock types that demanded tailored engineering approaches.
