Bogor – As part of its corporate sustainability strategy, PT Hutama Karya Infrastruktur (HKI) held a Financial Management Training session for women entrepreneurs from the Dongko Market community in Gang Kodir, Bogor, on Wednesday (30/04).

The activity is part of HKI’s flagship Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSR) program titled “Natakota Bogor: Kampung Gang Kodir”, which serves as a key initiative under HKI’s ESG Social Pillar contribution. The program aims to make a tangible impact on several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely Gender Equality, Decent Work & Economic Growth, and Responsible Consumption & Production.

The training targeted housewives who sell homegrown produce and homemade goods at Dongko Market—a community-based local market. It focused on practical topics such as cash flow recording, micro-business financial management, and household financial planning.

Philadelphia H.H.P., HKI’s Corporate Secretary, stated that this program is part of HKI’s long-term strategy to create shared value between the company and local communities. “We’re not only building roads and bridges, but also resilient social ecosystems. Empowering local women entrepreneurs is a concrete example of ESG integration into our business model,” he said.

In addition to the training, women from the Gang Kodir area also participated in an office paper waste upcycling program, turning used paper into valuable products such as planners, tissue boxes, and souvenirs. This initiative fosters a circular economy while raising environmental awareness and creating added value for the local community.

Nuryati, one of the participants, expressed her enthusiasm: “We’ve learned how to better manage our household and business finances. This training isn’t just knowledge—it’s a life skill.”

The Natakota Bogor program is a collaborative effort between HKI, the Salam Rancage community, and T-Care. It serves as a showcase for successful ESG integration within the operations of a state-owned construction company. This initiative highlights HKI’s role not only in physical infrastructure development, but also in advancing inclusive and sustainable social capacity building.
