Jakarta– PT Hutama Mambelim Trans Papua (HMTP), the Implementing Business Entity (BUP) formed through a consortium between PT Hutama Karya (Persero) and PT Hutama Karya Infrastruktur (HKI), signed a Public-Private Partnership (PPP/KPBU) agreement for the construction of the Trans Papua Road Jayapura-Wamena Mamberamo-Elelim Segment on Wednesday (03/07) at the Ministry of Public Works and Housing Auditorium, South Jakarta.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Minister of Public Works and Housing, Basuki Hadimuljono; Secretary General of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing , Mohammad Zainal Fatah; Director General of Highways, Rachman Arief Dienaputra; Director General of Public Works Infrastructure Financing, Triono Junoasmono; Director of Government Support and Infrastructure Financing Management at the Ministry of Finance, Brahmantio Isdijoso, as well as representatives from the Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency and the Ministry of Transportation.

Also present were Hutama Karya President Commissioner, Yudo Margono; Hutama Karya Director of Operations I, Agung Fajarwanto; HKI Acting President Commissioner, Taufik Widjoyono; HKI President Director, Aji Prasetyanti; PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indoneseia (Persero) (PII) President Director, Muhammad Wahid Sutopo; PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) (SMI) President Director, Edwin Syahruzad, and representatives from PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (BRI).

In his speech, the Minister of Public Works and Housing, Basuki Hadimuljono, expressed his gratitude, noting that this agreement brings the long-dreamed construction of the 50 km Trans Papua Road Jayapura-Wamena Mamberamo-Elelim Segment—envisioned since the era of President Soeharto—closer to realization.
