Jakarta – PT Hutama Karya Infrastruktur (HKI) conducted a visit and distributed donations to the Tresna Werdha Budi Mulia 1 Elderly Care Center in Cipayung, East Jakarta, on Friday (20/6). This activity was part of HKI’s Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSR/TJSL) program and involved over a dozen employee representatives. The visit was received by the management of the facility, including Head of Administration Susiana, accompanied by Head of Social Development Ramlan Nuzul, Head of Social Service Unit Nurma Ida, and around 50 elderly residents of the center.
The CSR program aimed to bring joy to the elderly residents through a social gathering that enabled direct interaction between them and HKI employees. The residents enthusiastically participated in the activities held throughout the visit. On this occasion, HKI also donated essential supplies to support the daily operations of the center, including adult diapers, cleaning equipment, medicines, and biscuits. The donation was handed over by HKI Corporate Secretary Philadelphia H.H.P to Head of Administration Susiana.
“We are very pleased to have the opportunity to carry out our CSR program at Tresna Werdha Budi Mulia 1 Elderly Care Center. This activity reflects the company’s commitment to caring for others, especially the elderly. Through this program, we also hope to foster empathy and social awareness among our employees,” said Philadelphia.
Susiana expressed appreciation for the visit and the operational support provided by HKI. “We are very grateful for the visit and assistance from HKI. The elderly residents felt cared for and thoroughly enjoyed the activities organized together with HKI employees,” she said.
Tresna Werdha Budi Mulia 1 Elderly Care Center is a technical implementation unit under the Social Affairs Agency of DKI Jakarta Province that provides care and support for abandoned elderly individuals in the greater Jakarta area. As of now, the center houses and cares for approximately 250 elderly residents.
This CSR program is part of HKI’s commitment to supporting the implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, particularly in the social aspect. By involving employees, the company aims to increase internal engagement with its CSR initiatives.
“Going forward, we hope to continue delivering tangible benefits to society and to further strengthen empathy within our company culture,” Philadelphia concluded.
HKI remains committed to implementing TJSL programs not only in the areas surrounding its operational sites but also in other regions across Indonesia, with the aim of delivering sustainable value to beneficiaries. This aligns with the company’s mission to contribute to society beyond infrastructure development.
